CENTER for ADVANCED TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS SIMULATION (CATSS) SCHOLARSHIP

Three Undergraduate Scholarships each for $500
Eight Graduate Scholarships each for $750

Undergraduate Scholarship Requirement:

Any full-time Engineering or Computer Science major focusing on transportation with a minimum GPA of 3.0, curriculum vitae and one letter of recommendation are needed.  Application form is below. 

Graduate Scholarship Requirement:

Any graduate student of Engineering or Computer Science major who is already pursuing a graduate degree and working on research related to transportation. A minimum GPA of 3.50 is required. Curriculum vitae and two letters of recommendations are also needed; one of which must be from the advisor.  Application form is below.

ITS Florida Scholarship Program

ITS Florida is seeking candidates for its Anne Brewer Scholarship program.  ITS Florida awards up to two cash scholarships for a total of $2,500 (to a graduate students) to enable deserving students to take advantage of the opportunities that can be achieved through education. A stipend is also provided to scholarship winners who attend an approved ITS Florida or ITS America event. Scholarship recipients may have an opportunity to give a presentation at an ITS Florida event.

The deadline for applications is February 27, 2009.

Women's Transportation Seminar
 

The Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS) strives to create new opportunities and advance the careers of women in the transportation industry. The primary philanthropic effort of the Central Florida Chapter is the award of two undergraduate scholarships and one graduate scholarship for women pursuing careers in transportation. WTS appreciates the University of Central Florida's Center for Advanced Transportation System Simulation (CATSS) in providing a portion of the 2007/2008 WTS Central Florida Chapter Scholarships. In order to be considered eligible, Frankee Hellinger Scholarship applicants must:

  • be a woman,
  • have a GPA of 3.0 or higher,
  • be currently enrolled in a transportation related degree program, and
  • plan to pursue a career in a transportation-related field.

For fiscal year 2008/2009, the WTS Central Florida Chapter will award three scholarships:

  • Frankee Hellinger Leadership, Undergraduate Scholarship ($ 1,000)
  • Frankee Hellinger Undergraduate Scholarship ($1,500), and
  • Frankee Hellinger Graduate Scholarship ($2,500).
